What is BIMO Toolbar?

BIMO Toolbar is a command platform for Revit teams. It brings ready-made BIMO tools, Dynamo graphs, Python workflows, reusable local presets and workspace standards into one Revit tab.

Which Revit versions are supported?

BIMO maintains builds for Revit 2021 to 2027. Check Downloads and Release Notes for the installer and versions available in the current release.

Can I run my own Dynamo, Python or C# automation?

Yes. Run Dynamo and Run Python let you launch existing workflows from inside Revit. Experimental custom-command generation can also turn explicitly configured Dynamo graphs and compatible compiled C# assemblies into Toolbar commands when Revit starts.

Can the toolbar match our company standards?

Yes. Workspace branding can deliver a shared colour palette, ribbon layout and command visibility so the Toolbar feels consistent across the team. Branding updates apply after Revit restarts. Custom logo and SVG uploads are planned rather than available today.

How do command presets help?

Commands with settings can save named presets locally, so proven values can be reused without entering them again. This makes recurring tasks faster and more consistent. Cloud sharing, role-based distribution and central preset management are planned extensions of the same workflow.

Can BIMO help measure automation usage?

BIMO adds a managed product layer around Revit automation: a curated command library, reusable presets, workspace configuration, product updates, licensing and execution data. Run Dynamo and Run Python keep familiar script-based workflows, while the local MCP bridge is available separately in Preview.

How is this different from pyRevit or Dynamo Player?

BIMO combines a curated command library, reusable presets, workspace branding, a common execution pipeline and a Preview local MCP bridge in one product. Run Dynamo and Run Python remain available for familiar script-based workflows, while BIMO adds a managed product layer around them.

Will it work offline?

Most local Toolbar commands and locally stored presets remain available without internet access. Commands protected by a paid license remain available for up to 7 days after the last successful online license check. License refresh, updates, branding refresh and telemetry delivery require connectivity. Telemetry created while offline is not queued for later upload.

How much does BIMO Toolbar cost?

BIMO Toolbar is available as a Free Beta. For current terms for paid commands, team onboarding or a custom quote, contact support@bimo.tools.

How do I distinguish available and future features?

Available now means the workflow is part of the current product. Preview or Experimental marks a working capability that may still change. Planned marks the direction of product development and does not mean the feature is available or tied to a committed delivery date. Release Notes, Documentation and BIMO Library remain the sources for shipped functionality.
