Tool Request opens the BIMO feedback form in a web browser. Use it to propose a new command, suggest an improvement to an existing tool, or request custom Revit automation.

When To Use It
A repetitive Revit operation takes too long and could be automated.
An existing BIMO command is missing a setting or workflow.
Your company needs a specialized tool for its own standards.
You found a workflow problem and have an idea for solving it.
You need an initial feasibility discussion for custom development.
The form can also be used for technical problems. State clearly that the message is a bug report and include exact reproduction steps.
Requirements
An internet connection.
Access to
bimo.tools.A Windows default browser that can open web links.
An active project, family, view, or Revit preselection is not required. The command is available regardless of whether a document is open.
What Happens When It Runs
BIMO asks Windows to open the feedback page at
bimo.tools/feedback.The page opens in an external web browser.
The user completes and submits the form.
The website displays a confirmation after a successful submission.
The Revit command finishes immediately after attempting to open the link. It does not wait for the form to be completed and does not verify that a request was submitted.
Form Fields
All fields are required:

When the user is already signed in on the BIMO website, first name, last name, and email may be filled from the account data.
The current page is a general feedback form and does not insert a separate technical-request template. State explicitly in the message that you are requesting a new tool.
What To Include In The Request
For a faster assessment, include:
the task you perform today;
why standard Revit or existing BIMO tools are insufficient;
the elements, parameters, views, or files involved;
the expected command result;
an example of the input and desired output;
the Revit version;
how often the operation is performed and by how many people;
whether company-specific configuration, support, or external integration is required.
Do not send passwords, license keys, third-party personal data, or confidential models without prior agreement.
Data And Model Impact
Tool Request:
does not modify the Revit model;
does not open a document-modifying transaction;
does not use selected elements;
does not automatically attach the model, screenshots, logs, or parameters;
does not send Revit data merely because the button was clicked;
only opens an external web page.
Data is sent to BIMO only after the user completes and submits the web form.

The command has no user settings, presets, or variants.

Known Limitations
The command does not create or track a request inside Revit.
The active-document context and Revit version are not added automatically.
The command cannot automatically attach a file or screenshot.
A successful command result confirms only that the external link was launched, not that the form was submitted.
